Recently, the offshore platform modular drilling rig project contracted and manufactured by LSPE has successfully completed the load tests for the crown block and derrick, officially entering the critical testing stage. This lays a solid foundation for the subsequent progress of the project and demonstrates the company’s strong comprehensive strength in the manufacturing of offshore drilling and production equipment.
The project has encountered numerous challenges during its advancement. In the derrick hoisting phase, the project team took the initiative to tackle difficulties. Combining the structural design features of the derrick and core testing requirements, the team arranged well site layout, and independently completed the design, optimization and trial production of tooling supports. Through repeated demonstration and commissioning, the team successfully solved installation difficulties, effectively removed bottlenecks in project progress, and consolidated the foundation for subsequent assembly and tension tests.
After the vertical installation of the derrick, technical staff remained on-site and fulfilled their duties earnestly. They repeatedly adjusted, precisely measured, and checked all key dimensions of the derrick item by item, ensuring all indicators strictly comply with design specifications and industrial standards, and providing strong guarantee for the reliability and accuracy of subsequent tests.
In the core tension test phase, the project team strictly followed the load test outline and formulated a scientific testing scheme. By adopting a rigorous step-by-step loading method, they completed tests at five load levels: 0kN, 600kN, 1200kN, 2000kN and 2250kN, and successfully passed two rounds of full loading tests. Throughout the whole testing process, all equipment operated smoothly with stable performance, and all measured indicators met expectations. The project has officially passed the authoritative inspection by China Classification Society (CCS).
In the next stage, the project team will maintain full work enthusiasm and a rigorous work attitude, unite efforts to overcome difficulties, and fully advance follow-up work including drilling rig packaging and shipment. The company will strictly control quality and progress to ensure high-quality delivery on schedule, provide solid support for smooth project implementation, and further enhance the company’s core competitiveness in the field of offshore equipment manufacturing.
