Recently, LSHEC has successfully completed the maintenance of 3 high-pressure heat exchangers for the 100,000 Tons/Year lube oil hydrogenation unit of CNOOC Bitumen Co.,Ltd., laying a solid foundation for the unit to resume stable full-load normal operation.
The project covers tube bundle pulling, cleaning and re-installation of 2 threaded locking ring heat exchangers and 1 Ω-ring heat exchanger, featuring heavy workload and complicated working procedures. In strict accordance with the turnaround schedule of CNOOC Bitumen’s unit, LSHEC arranged construction teams in advance to coordinate technical schemes and construction arrangements. Closely monitoring high-risk operations including working at height, hot work and confined space entry, LSHEC strengthened safety and quality management responsibilities, rationally coordinated construction sequences and tackled key construction challenges. All maintenance works were efficiently finished within less than one month and successfully passed acceptance upon handover.
