Recently, LSPE successfully completed the offshore installation of the final module for the 2000HP offshore modular drilling rig EPC project in the Gulf of Mexico, laying a solid foundation for subsequent final assembly and commissioning.

This drilling rig EPC project, independently researched, designed, and developed by LSPE, which is the first domestic offshore modular drilling rig capable of small-module installation and relocation. It marks another large-scale integrated EPC project undertaken by LSPE, covering "design - manufacturing - procurement - commissioning."
Since the project's inception, the project team from LSPE has sequentially accomplished design, procurement, shipyard construction, ocean transportation, and offshore installation. They successfully overcame challenges such as the project's large scale, complex systems, tight schedules, and harsh sea conditions. Despite limited installation resources and personnel, they completed the offshore installation in just 45 days. This achievement fully validated the advanced nature and reliability of the "small-module + rapid-installation" approach, earning high praise from the user.
The drilling rig is equipped with an integrated intelligent control system and highly redundant process piping, enabling it to handle complex operational conditions with ease. The main modules are lifted using the rig's own two 50-ton cranes, eliminating the need for large floating cranes. This innovation has enhanced installation efficiency and significantly reduced offshore crane rental costs. Additionally, the modules can be relocated as a whole and reused, providing a LS solution for cost reduction and efficiency improvement throughout the customer's entire lifecycle.
