Recently, the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the "List of Typical Cases of Innovative Products for Industrial Machine Tools in 2026." The 125MN High-speed Hydraulic Forging Press Unit project and the Radial Forging machine+High-speed Forging Press Production Line project of Lanzhou LS Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. (LSHM) were respectively selected as typical cases of forming equipment innovative products and processing production lines. This marks that the company's R&D strength, domestic substitution capability, and intelligent manufacturing level in the field of high-end heavy-duty forging industrial machine tools have become industry benchmarks.
The 125MN High-speed Hydraulic Forging Press Unit project has been included in the pilot list of the empowerment reform for job-related scientific and technological achievements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Equipped with a high-performance servo hydraulic system and an intelligent control system, the press features high forging accuracy, fast dynamic response, and low energy consumption. With a forging frequency of 80 strokes per minute and a forging speed of 160 mm per second, it is capable of forging special alloy materials such as high-temperature alloys, titanium alloys, corrosion-resistant alloys, stainless steels, and special steels used in nuclear power, aerospace, shipbuilding, petrochemical, electric power, new energy, and other fields. Its forging capacity has reached the international advanced level, effectively enhancing the self-control capability of the national industrial chain and supply chain, and supporting the high-quality development of the high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
The Radial Forging Machine + High-speed Forging Press Production Line adopts an advanced process layout, integrating an 8MN high-speed forging press, a hot saw unit, an induction heating furnace unit, a 2MN radial forging machine unit, and a straightening machine into a single system. Through an intelligent control system, it enables full-process automated operations from taking the billet from furnace, billet cogging by the high-speed forging press and to precision forming by the radial forging machine, fully meeting the forging requirements for high-precision forgings in key sectors of the national economy such as aerospace, nuclear power, shipbuilding, chemical industry, rail transit, and new energy. Compared with traditional forging processes, this production line significantly reduces reheating cycles during forging, substantially improving overall forging efficiency. Among its core equipment, the 2MN radial forging machine applies high-frequency forging technology combined with a precision control system, achieving dimensional accuracy of forgings stably controlled within ±0.5 mm, reaching the international advanced level.
Taking this achievement as a new starting point, LSHM will adhere to the innovation-driven development strategy, leverage the exemplary role of benchmark cases, deepen collaborative innovation across the industrial chain, continue to break through key core technologies, and inject strong momentum into the development of the industrial machine tool industry.
